In Loving Memory

Jackie Don Reinhardt
who passed from this world September 22, 2004.

two months before diagnosis

10% of all Texas Judaica profits will be distributed to various tzedaka (charity) organizations here in Israel and to the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research

Jackie lived his entire life helping others, almost always in secret. He didn't help others for his own honor; he just felt that everyone deserved as many chances as they needed to get things right.

May we learn from his example and always be willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Why the Prayer Shawl?

The prayer shawl (tallit in Hebrew) is a fulfillment of the commandment described in Numbers 15. Here God commands the Jewish people to attach fringes (tzizit) to the corners of their garments. We therefore put on a four cornered garment to fulfill this expressed Divine Desire. The strings symbolize our being bound up with G-d and serve as a reminder of the commandments in general.

Our selection here includes both traditional and modern prayers shawls. If you have any questions or would like more information about the use of the prayer shawl, please contact us.
